Bringing in 2009

I brought in the new year with several friends at the Morris house. Carrie and Auburn taught us a new card game, 31. They look deep in concentration don't they?!

I had a very Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We really bought each other too much and next year we need to scale back a little. I had some good surprises!

I got mom this Savannah travel guide book for our trip! Paula Deen here we come!

I ordered this super cool book from Snapfish for my aunt with our Las Vegas pictures in it. It turned out really cool!

Great friends and great gifts

This weekend mom and I went to celebrate Maw Maw's birthday. Mom gave her the lovely wreath we made at church to decorate the mantel. Thanks to mr. evil sinus I was feeling oh so lethargic this weekend.

My mom had a creative spurt and made this cool gift! Potpourri and lights in the vase and ta-da!

This weekend I also got to visit my soul sista Julia.

And Julia being the super spectacular friend that she is got me this super cute girly hammer as my "house warming gift" and this wicked awesome lunchkit as my birthday present! A bit belated, but better late than never! I just love a good monogram gift and this one rocks! Thanks Julia! Love ya girl!

Happy birthday Maw Maw!

Say hello to the best Maw Maw a girl could ever have. This wonderful lady celebrates birthday number 76 today. I am so blessed to have such an amazing lady in my life. She has done so much for me that I could never give back to her enough. She is one tough woman! Here's to many more years Maw Maw! Love you!

Crazy Texas weather

Well, I've got to catch up from the weekend. This is me and my dear friend Betsy. She came to visit me Saturday and spent the night. We watched the Christmas parade and went to Journey to Bethlehem at the fairgrounds. We got back, popped popcorn and sang along to Hairspray. I love to have girl time!

Other randoms from today:

-We had an early release day and had a motivational speaker named LaDonna Gatlin speak to us all the the middle school, she was great and she's the sister to the Gatlin brothers. Ok and everyone was making fun of me for not knowing who they were.

-My voice is hoarse and I sound like a man, or I squeak when laughing.

-We have 7 more days of school left!

-Tomorrow we get to take the kids to hear the high school band's Christmas concert, should be fun!

-Tomorrow is my wonderful Maw Maw's birthday!

My favorite new lotion is Bath and Body Works Velvet Tuberose, oh man it smells awesome!

Favorite new purchase is my new digital camera! Well mine has been alright, but I hate how heavy it is and how it uses AA batteries. I wanted a skinnier version that used the lithium ion battery. Well, QVC had a super deal on this awesome fujifilm and I just had to get that for myself for Christmas!
