Happy Halloween!

Halloween is tomorrow! Wow! October is really over already?! School has just been moving at warp speed. I was out two days this week for training, my partner teacher has been out and tomorrow is parent/teacher conference day. Woo! The kids were so anxious today since tomorrow is Halloween AND because they don't have to come to school tomorrow!

AND tomorrow is pay day! I have literally $4 in my wallet right now. My kids must think I'm rich. The other day one of them asked why I didn't draw more names for treasure box each week and I said well how about you donate some money and I will? I told him I had $4 left and he said well you need to get paid girl! Hah, so true dear, so true. This once a month thing kinda bites.

Brown sugar chicken and dreamin of Savannah

If you haven't checked out the crockpot lady's blog then you should! I made the brown sugar chicken recipe she posted and it turned out fantastic! It was super easy, and I made a little rice to pour the broth over and it was very tasty. I was in the mood for trying something new and that hit the spot.

I just recieved my Savannah travel planner in the mail this week and I am so excited I just can't stand it! I'm saving up money from my pitiful salary and whisking my mom away this summer to Savannah. Of course we're going to eat at Paula Deen's restaurant! Sounds like there is a lot to see and do there, and I can't wait to get planning!

My new metal art and picture frames from where else but Kirkland's! Kristen helped pick these out to match the bed colors.
I loved this sign and knew when I saw it at the fair on the square I just had to have it.
I'd love to start a cross collection to hang around the black sign, what do you think?

PRAY

Please say a little prayer for one of my student's. He was just diagnosed with leukemia and is already undergoing chemo at Texas Children's. I am just so shocked and saddened to see this happen to such a sweet boy. I can't imagine what him or his family is going through right now. God is powerful and I know he will take care of him!

Birthday celebrations

Last Sunday we celebrated my birthday and my Aunt Barbie's birthday. Not the best picture of me but whatev. We had a good time and of course had some great food.

On a side note, I went to the Huntsville fair on the square last Saturday and I brought home this little cutie. It was too cute to pass up and I have no Christmas decorations, so this will get me started!

Yesterday I took my birthday money and went shopping in Conroe with Kristen and we shopped til we dropped! Literally! I had quite a busy and fun weekend and I have lots of new, fun decorations I need to take pictures and share!
