On Friday I got to spend some time with my dear friends Allison and JD Humber as well as Jamie Pope and Alli's bro Brett. We had a grand time at the renaissance festival, and thankfully it did not rain on us! I think ren fest is now an every year tradition with us and I look forward to many more years of fun!

It's beginning to look like a lot like Christmas
My very own first Christmas tree. Oh how it makes me proud! I know you're thinking gosh it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but it was either put it up today or Sunday when I'm back here again and well I just couldn't wait. All the fun Christmas stuff was just too tempting to see lying around. The star does light up, I just have to get an extension cord, the lights on the tree don't have the plug thingy on them! Who knew?

Yay I found a coffee table!
Mom and I went antique shopping Saturday, which I LOVE to do. Of course this isn't an antique, but they were selling it in the antique store. I just loved the look of it, and the price! We had gone by the furniture store earlier to look and my jaw about fell on the floor at the prices on some of them! It's hard to tell the top color (the lighting is too dark) but it's more of a darker red shade on top.

Whirlwind Friday
Well folks, I had my very first field trip experience. Luckily for me it was in town this first time. We took our 2nd-4th graders to the Sam Houston women's basketball game Friday. Let's just say that whoever did the planning for SHSU had no clue about kids. They had popcorn and a drink for $1.00 for our kids to buy and of course as soon as it took us the half hour to get inside to our seats they were ready for that snack. There was only 1 concession stand selling them! I was like are you kidding me?! And not only did it take us forever to get the darn snack, they gave kids RED kool-aid to drink. What?! RED kool-aid in an open cup is just dangerous! Let's just say that when it was all over I felt like I had walked a marathon and felt like this poor lady.

A new life
Well the shelf/table whatever it is that I showed a couple of posts ago got a chocolate brown paint job. I must say it looks TONS better than it did. Not bad for 5 bucks!

Christmas in November
Saturday Mom and I went to Christmas in November at church. We had a grand time hearing the Word, eating great food and we made a Christmas wreath!

Latest happenings
Ok I know this looks like junk, but it is going to be painted and will house this monster stereo that I have and will have a home in the office/Nascar room. Mom got it at a garage sale for $5.
I saw this little gem at Stein Mart when Dana and I went shopping and I just couldn't resist. I love the rustic look to it!
