My first day!!

I survived the first day of school!!! Yay!!!
The day went great and SUPER fast! Everytime I looked at the clock I thought oh crud, we've gotta get ready to go here or go there! I think I have 2 groups of some awesome kids and believe that we'll have a great year. I might as well bring my bed up to school I spend so much time there! Hah! That's pretty much the grand tour of things! Now I just need to work on more things to hang on the walls and that will have to wait after I get paid, which will be forever! School starts tomorrow and I will take pictures of my finished classroom to share!

My treasure box

I found this little fella at Michael's and just had to have it for my classroom treasure box! Well if I was a super duper talented painter, I'd have this guy tricked out pretty sweet. But I'm not so here's what he looks like now...

Sorry it has been so long since my last post! I just got moved into my new apartment this past weekend and have been busy getting things together around here. I've been staying busy at the school with meetings and am still getting things together in my room. School starts Monday! Holy cow!! I should have pictures of my classroom up soon!

30 Years

Yesterday we celebrated my Aunt Barbie's 30 year anniversary of working for ExxonMobil. We ate at the Taste of Texas steakhouse and oh my it was fantastic!

My new classroom!

Today was the first day I really had to take my stuff up there and start getting things set up. It took me forever to figure out the layout of the desks and all to where I liked it, but I think it'll work. Mom came and helped me out and we got a good deal done, although there is a lot more that I need to do. I'm really excited and will definitely share pictures when it's all finished up!
